Dematic in the United States is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design, development and deployment of advanced software for material handling systems, with strong Linux and C/C++ expertise and an emphasis on scalable, reliable automation software.

You will mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, set technical roadmaps with product teams, and ensure high-quality documentation and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise in C, C++, and JavaScript within Linux (RHEL) server environments.
• Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Proficiency in Git.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of software applications for material handling systems.
• Architect scalable, high-performance software that integrates with WCS/WIS/WMS.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define technical requirements and roadmaps.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to mid-level and junior engineers.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices for high quality software.
• Troubleshoot and optimize applications for reliability and performance.
• Ensure robust software documentation including architecture diagrams and user guides.
• Stay current with emerging technologies to drive innovation in automation software solutions.
