Job summary

Dematic is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead design, development, and deployment of advanced software for material handling systems. You will architect scalable, high-performance software that integrates with WCS, WIS, and WMS, and mentor junior engineers.

You will collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define requirements, perform code reviews, and ensure documentation and quality standards are met, while staying current with industry trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise in programming languages such as C, C++, JavaScript within Linux (RHEL) server environments.
• Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies for software development.
• Proficiency in version control systems such as Git.
• Strong background in database design and management (Oracle, PostgreSQL)

This role requires technical leadership, deep expertise in Linux and C based software architecture as well as the ability to mentor junior engineers while delivering high-quality, scalable software solutions for automation and supply chain operations.
