Responsibilities
- Code, test, and analyze application software; support existing products and business applications.
- Conduct usability testing to identify and fix UI issues and gather real‑world intelligence from target users.
- Collaborate with business and IT decision makers to discuss user interface requirements and brainstorm UI ideas.
- Use responsive web design to create applications that automatically conform to multiple screen sizes/devices.
- Develop the aesthetics of a website or product, including layout menus, drop‑down options, colors, and fonts.
- Stay current with the latest trends and best practices of UI/UX design and human‑computer interaction.
- Use visual aids such as wireframes, storyboards, and UI flow charts to plan and present user interface designs.
- Leverage SEO knowledge to develop search‑friendly websites and interfaces.
- Work closely with Development and QA team members to improve usability.
- Adhere to SDLC, coding standards, and best practices.
- Troubleshoot various products and business applications in production as needed.
- Attend overnight releases when required.
- Achieve operational excellence by automating processes and writing maintainable, supportable, and testable code.
- Network with senior internal and external personnel in your area of expertise.
Qualifications
- About 8 years of experience in software development methodologies and best practices.
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience in front‑end web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- 5+ years of experience with advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks (AngularJS, ReactJS, VueJS, Bootstrap).
- 5+ years of experience building web services in SOAP and/or REST using Java, Spring/Spring Boot framework.
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience with a cloud platform such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry, AWS, or container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong experience collaborating with Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Solid experience with Git, GitHub, Jenkins, and Sonatype Nexus repository.
- Fluent in complex SQL; experience with DB2, Oracle, or SQL Server preferred.
- Experience with data streaming (Kafka), data messaging, and event‑driven systems.
- Experience with modern agile software delivery practices (CI/CD, TDD, BDD, DevOps, automation).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
Benefits
Competitive compensation with a salary range of $108,200.00 – $181,800.00 based on role, level, and location. Additional factors such as job‑related skills, experience, and education may influence starting pay.
