The role focuses on designing and developing reusable frameworks, internal platforms, and developer tools that increase engineering productivity across teams. The resource will lead modernization efforts focused on cloud-native technologies, automation, AI-assisted engineering, and developer experience while building and maintaining scalable applications, APIs, services, and platform capabilities that support enterprise-scale solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a Software Engineer, Full-Stack Engineer, or similar technical role.
• Strong programming experience in one or more modern languages such as C#, Java, Python, Go, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience designing and building scalable applications, APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-native services.
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar technologies.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, and modern platform engineering practices.
• Experience developing internal platforms, frameworks, libraries, or tooling that improve developer productivity and engineering efficiency.
• Familiarity with API management, gateway technologies, secrets management, and infrastructure tooling.
• Demonstrated technical leadership through complex projects, platform initiatives, or cross-team engineering efforts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Must be a local candidate near Arlington, VA, and able to work in a hybrid environment.
