Job summary

Natera is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build customer-facing web applications with a focus on user experience and design excellence. You will collaborate with Engineering, Product Managers, and Designers to create new experiences for customers.

You will design and implement complex systems, drive architecture, perform code reviews, and mentor teams. The role requires Java, Spring, AWS, microservices, and SDLC expertise, with HIPAA/PHI training initiated soon after hire.

Qualifications

• BS degree in computer science, comparable program, or equivalent.
• 7+ years of software development experience with Java and web technologies.
• Experience with Spring Frameworks and Hibernate.
• Cloud experience; AWS preferred.
• Microservice architecture and scalable applications.
• SDLC process, build, change control, release and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Drive complex system design with architecture team.
• Perform code reviews and mentor developers.
• Define requirements and translate into scalable microservices APIs.
• Build and maintain systems supporting business apps.
• Improve processes and evangelize best practices.
• Contribute to end-to-end compliance initiatives.
• Develop new functionality and maintain existing components.
• Work with PHI data securely per HIPAA training requirements.
