SmartThings, a leading IoT ecosystem and Samsung subsidiary, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Apps & Behaviors Services team in Minneapolis. You’ll own complex features, decompose ambiguous requirements, and drive design through delivery, mentoring others along the way.

This hybrid role (3 days/week in our Minneapolis office) focuses on AWS-based, highly scalable services powering SmartApps and Rules & Automations, with a 20% annual bonus target and full benefits.

Qualifications

5+ years of software engineering experience with distributed systems.
Proficient with core AWS services and Well-Architected Framework.
Experience owning complex projects end-to-end with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

Act as technical lead for features within Apps & Behaviors Platform.
Design scalable components using AWS and follow best practices.
Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar across the team.
Own features end-to-end from code to release changes.
