Job summary

Luminary is an AI-native platform for wealth transfer services. We seek a software engineer who ships production AI features, designs eval suites, and strengthens our agent harness.

You will collaborate with senior leadership and product teams to deliver high-impact capabilities while staying ahead in AI advancements. Our team emphasizes strong engineering practices, prompt/context engineering, and cross-functional collaboration in a hybrid/remote-friendly environment with a NYC office.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of software engineering experience at companies with strong engineering practices.
• An engineer who works on AI, not a researcher; shipping to production systems and prompt/context engineering.
• Comfortable with prompt and context engineering, eval design, and maintaining probabilistic systems.

Responsibilities

• Improve accuracy on our core extractions and fix failure modes.
• Own evals and maintain test suites to prevent regressions.
• Improve shared agent harness including tooling and orchestration.
• Design for human review, surfacing and explaining suggestions.
• Stay informed on the state of AI and leverage evals to keep up with new models.
