Product Engineering is responsible for Disney Entertainment & ESPN digital and streaming products and platforms, including engineering, quality assurance, personalization, commerce, lifecycle, and identity.

We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer for our Apple team. The ideal candidate is motivated, collaborative, technical, and capable of coordinating across teams to achieve excellence, impacting millions of global consumers and our business.

• Participate in the specification and design of Disney Markup Language (DML) with other engineers.
• Design, implement, and test features to expand the Renderer’s capabilities based on DML.
• Support integration of the Renderer with Client engineers across Disney’s streaming brands.

Basic

• 5+ years of front-end application development experience, proficient in Swift / SwiftUI with low memory footprint.
• Leadership skills, problem-solving, eagerness to learn and teach new technologies.
• Experience building consumer-facing interactive experiences.
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals.
• Experience with the Apple development ecosystem.

Preferred

• Experience with video playback or renderer technologies.
• Experience with development tools like GitHub, Confluence, JIRA, MS Teams.
• Experience with web-services and international products.
• Strong Scrum methodology experience.

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
