Job summary

JD Power is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design solutions that connect data pipelines, models, and user experiences into a single product on modern cloud platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or Palantir Foundry.

You will own end-to-end analytics solution design, break down complex features into executable plans, lead reviews, and mentor engineers while collaborating with data scientists, AI engineers, and product managers to ship production-ready systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; around 8 years exp, or 6 with MS, or 3 with PhD.
• Track record owning delivery on complex multi-team software/data projects.
• Background in analytics, SaaS, or automotive/consumer insights is a plus.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading design reviews.
• Strong Python, SQL, and Git skills with production data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end analytical solution design across data contracts, feature stores, and model endpoints.
• Lead code and design reviews, guide architecture and testing.
• Collaborate with data scientists, AI engineers, and product managers to move prototypes to production.
• Mentor junior engineers and communicate trade-offs to stakeholders.
