Job summary

TikTok is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its AIGC Agentic Workflow in San Jose. You will own full‑stack features for the workflow editor and related services, delivering robust user experiences and reliable backend orchestration.

You will partner with product, data/ML, and AI/ML teams to integrate models and pipelines, build tooling for observability, and help shape the roadmap for the workflow platform. This role emphasizes collaboration, reliability, and scalable design.

Responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end development of key features in our workflow editor and related services – from problem discovery and design, to implementation, rollout, and long‑term maintenance.
• Design and build full‑stack product experiences for the editor, including rich graph‑based UI and backend services that orchestrate workflow execution, scheduling, and state management.
• Collaborate with AI/ML platform teams to integrate models and pipelines into reusable workflow nodes, with clear contracts and observability.
• Build internal tooling for debugging and operating workflows: run history, logs & metrics, replay, tracing, and guardrail/safety controls surfaced in the editor.
• Partner with product and data/ML teams to design experiments and evaluation flows around workflows and fold results back into decisions.
• Improve reliability, performance, and usability of the editor and backend services through instrumentation, alerting, and post‑mortems.
• Work with designers to refine interaction patterns for graph editing, parameter configuration, and status visualization.
• Contribute to the roadmap of the workflow platform and collaborate with other teams dependent on workflow capabilities.
