Job summary

Optum is seeking a senior software engineer to design, develop, and support scalable enterprise applications and microservices. You will collaborate with architects, product managers, and peers to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.

Responsibilities include writing clean, well-documented code, driving CI/CD, and addressing performance issues while developing AI-powered solutions with responsible use of AI.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience designing, building, and deploying enterprise-grade applications.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with one or more modern programming languages (Java, Python, C#, Go).
• 3+ years designing and interacting with relational or non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB).
• 3+ years developing RESTful APIs, web services, and microservices architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support scalable software applications and microservices using modern enterprise technology stacks.
• Collaborate with architects, product managers, and engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable code following engineering standards and best practices.
• Participate in peer code reviews, design discussions, and architecture planning to enforce quality.
