Job summary

WME is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build scalable web apps and APIs using React, TypeScript, and Next.js. You will own features end-to-end, work with product and design teams, and help shape our evolving engineering practices.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in software development, strong full-stack skills, and experience with PostgreSQL, AWS/Azure, Docker, and CI/CD tooling. This role offers a fast-paced, AI-enabled environment at a growing studio.

Qualifications

• Solid software engineering experience, typically 5+ years.
• Strong full-stack development experience building modern web applications.
• Backend experience with Node.js, building services and APIs.
• Experience designing and working with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure preferred).
• Familiarity with containerized workloads using Docker (Kubernetes a plus).
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code concepts; Terraform a plus.
• Comfort working with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar).
• Strong product instincts and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable web applications and APIs using React, TypeScript, and Next.js.
• Develop and maintain Node.js backend with REST, gRPC, and GraphQL APIs.
• Contribute to architectural decisions across frontend and backend systems.
• Partner closely with product managers and designers to deliver thoughtful solutions.
• Translate operational needs into practical technical solutions.
• Participate in and improve CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling.
• Support and mentor new career engineers on the team.
