Job summary

WME is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build scalable internal platforms powering the entertainment industry. You will own features end-to-end, design modern web apps and APIs with React/TypeScript/Next.js, and contribute to AI-assisted development initiatives.

You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to improve architectures, CI/CD, and developer tooling while mentoring newer engineers in a scrappy, evolving environment.

Qualifications

• Solid software engineering experience, typically 5+ years.
• Strong full-stack development experience building modern web applications.
• Proficiency in React, TypeScript, and Next.js.
• Backend experience with Node.js, building services and APIs.
• Experience designing and working with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
• Experience working with cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure preferred).
• Familiarity with containerized workloads using Docker (Kubernetes a plus).
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code concepts; experience with Terraform a plus.
• Comfort working with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar).
• Strong product instincts and collaborative mindset.
• Comfortable working in environments where systems and processes are still evolving.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable web applications and APIs using React, TypeScript, and Next.js.
• Develop and maintain Node.js backend with REST, gRPC, and GraphQL APIs.
• Contribute to architectural decisions across frontend and backend systems.
• Partner closely with product managers and designers to deliver thoughtful solutions.
• Translate operational needs into practical technical solutions.
• Participate in and improve CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling.
• Support and mentor new career engineers on the team.
