Job summary

Two Six Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our remote engineering team. You will design and implement Python-based backend services, build AI/ML workflows, and deploy scalable production systems on AWS using Docker and Kubernetes.

You will collaborate with data science, security, and product groups to deliver robust capabilities to federal clients. The role emphasizes hands-on development, architecture design, and rigorous testing in a fully remote, Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 10+ years in professional software engineering, with at least 5+ years in backend development.
• 5+ years of experience writing production level Python APIs and applications
• 2 years’ experience developing containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or other LLM frameworks
• Proficiency with AWS cloud computing technologies and production systems
• Experience with APIs, microservices, asynchronous tasks, ORMs, and task queues
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
• Experience tuning and debugging Linux systems
• Unit/integration/functional testing experience
• Strong Agile (Scrum) mindset and remote teamwork
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

• Design and implement solutions in Python using the full suite of AWS cloud computing capabilities
• Develop and iterate on AI and LLM-based workflows to reduce overhead and time for customers to achieve their required outcomes
• Operate in a collaborative, agile environment with a focus on taking action and enabling team success
• Create proofs-of-concept, prototypes, and production solutions to enable data analysis
• Consider security best practices at every phase of software development to maintain information security compliance
• Review work with peers to ensure maintainable and extensible solutions
• Share knowledge with colleagues across the company
• Work in a fully remote team with diverse skills and experiences
• Independently identify and solve problems and challenge assumptions
• Participate in peer code reviews and automated/manual testing
