Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Sunnyvale, CA to lead delivery of scalable, secure software solutions and oversee full lifecycle development, including design, coding, testing and deployment. You will integrate AI/ML components and drive continuous improvement across teams.

You will mentor peers, participate in solution design, code reviews, and ensure high quality standards while translating business needs into robust technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience, or 5 years’ experience in software engineering.
• Master’s degree preferred with 1 year experience; focus on accessible digital experiences and WCAG 2.2 AA standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of scoped features and models through collaborative engineering teams.
• Develop, test, and maintain high-quality, efficient code across multiple languages with CI/CD.
• Integrate AI/ML components and leveraging generative AI tools to enhance software capabilities.
• Participate in solution design, code reviews, and apply best practices for scalable, secure systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements and define success metrics.
