Job summary

Walmart in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead scalable software delivery, manage feature development, testing, and ongoing support within collaborative teams. You will drive AI/ML integration to enhance platform capabilities and contribute to solution design and technical leadership.

You will work with US clubs and eCommerce teams, ship production apps, ensure quality, performance, and align with business goals, leveraging CI/CD, and modern software practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related area with 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
• Alternatively, 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Responsibilities

• Own scoped feature and model delivery through collaborative engineering teams, managing implementation, iteration, testing, and ongoing support.
• Write clean, efficient, and reliable code across multiple languages, driving full software development lifecycle including CI/CD and automated testing.
• Integrate AI and ML components to enhance software intelligence and leverage generative AI tools to improve development velocity.
• Assist in converting high-level designs into scalable, secure, and maintainable software systems aligned with platform objectives.
• Conduct code reviews, debugging, and defect management to ensure quality and performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements and measurable outcomes.
• Monitor application performance and support continuous integration and delivery practices.
