Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead scalable, secure software delivery and to mentor peers in a high‑impact team in Dallas, TX. You will drive design, coding, testing, and deployment across multiple languages, with emphasis on AI/ML integration and platform excellence.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure reliable performance, maintainability, and alignment with Walmart standards, while advancing innovation and velocity in development and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/IS/Software Eng or related area with 3 years of software engineering experience.
• Alternatively, 5 years of software engineering experience.
• Experience integrating AI/ML components is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Own scoped feature and model delivery through collaboration with engineering teams, managing implementation, iteration, testing, and support.
• Write clean, efficient, and reliable code across multiple languages, driving full software development lifecycle including CI/CD and automated testing.
• Integrate AI and ML components to enhance software intelligence and leverage generative AI tools to improve development velocity.
• Assist in converting high-level designs into detailed, scalable, and maintainable solutions aligned with platform objectives.
• Conduct code reviews, debugging, and defect management to ensure software quality and performance.
• Monitor application performance and support CI/CD practices.
• Mentor peers, promote engineering best practices, and contribute to innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
