Job summary

Colossus Technologies Group is seeking multiple engineers to join a growing R&D software team building cloud-connected products. The work is onsite in Cedar Rapids, IA, enabling close collaboration on AI/ML-enabled features and modern software solutions.

The team focuses on integrating AI/ML, cloud, and software-development capabilities within an established suite of commercial applications, in a startup-style environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software/Cloud/DevOps/AI/ML experience.
• Proficiency in at least one of Python, Java, C#, or TypeScript.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite with an engineering team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
• Experience with cloud-native applications and AI/ML model integration is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy new software services and product capabilities.
• Build cloud-based applications, backend services, APIs, and integrations.
• Contribute to AI/ML-enabled features and modern software solutions.
• Collaborate with software engineers, cloud/DevOps engineers, and AI/ML specialists on new product development.
• Help evaluate and integrate emerging technologies, including LLMs and machine-learning frameworks.
• Improve the scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability of software systems.
• Participate in an agile, collaborative R&D environment with regular cross-functional communication.
