Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Senior Software Engineer based onsite in the United States. The role leads the delivery of scalable, secure software solutions through cross-functional teams, covering design, implementation, testing, and ongoing support of services, APIs, and AI/ML components.

You will drive CI/CD, automated testing, performance monitoring, and architectural decisions while aligning with Walmart’s strategic objectives and engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area with 3 years’ experience.
• Option 2: 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 1 year’s experience; WCAG accessibility knowledge encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Own scoped feature and model delivery through collaborative engineering teams, ensuring alignment with platform and system objectives.
• Write clean, efficient, and reliable code across multiple languages, driving CI/CD and automated testing.
• Integrate AI and ML components to enhance software intelligence and development.
• Participate in solution design, evaluating trade-offs and ensuring scalable, secure, and maintainable systems.
• Conduct code reviews, debugging, and defect management to maintain high-quality deliverables.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to translate business needs into technical requirements and measurable outcomes.
• Monitor application performance and support continuous improvement through observability.
