Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled AI/ML Intelligence Systems Engineer to support the development and deployment of next generation tactical intelligence processing and ISR automation solutions. This role focuseson enhancing tactical intelligence collection, exploitation, and dissemination through AI/ML-driven automation, federated sensor orchestration, and distributed data management. The role involves working at the intersection of AI/ML, ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) systems, and advanced data processing to expedite actionable intelligence at the tactical edge.

What You Will Do:

  • Data Layer Development & Distributed Intelligence Architecture
  • Enableseamless machine-to-machine communicationby developing aschema-less, open-source data management systemsupporting multiple distribution patterns (Pub/Sub, Point-to-Point).

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date
  • 5+ years of experience in AI/ML development, ISR systems, or advanced data processing.
  • Background in AI/ML algorithms, automation, and machine learning model deployment (MLOps).
  • Expertise in distributed computing architectures, data mesh design, and cloud-based or edge computing environments.
  • Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar AI/ML frameworks.
  • Familiarity with military intelligence concepts, ISR operations, and DDIL data environments.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time both domestically and internationally.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with ISR sensor tasking, federated data systems, and tactical intelligence processing.
  • Experience working with open-source intelligence (OSINT) tools, geospatial data, or real-time sensor integration.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
