EliseAI in New York is seeking a Software Engineer who will build software that improves business operations and scales initiatives. You’ll work on a small team with other top engineers, owning projects from design through deployment in a startup-like environment.

Expect ownership, fast iteration, and meaningful impact. You’ll collaborate with product and design, apply best practices in testing and CI, and help deploy features hundreds of times daily while balancing speed and quality.

Qualifications

• Startup mindset with ownership, urgency and pragmatism.
• Ability to solve complex problems independently with minimal guidance.
• Bias for action — move quickly from idea to implementation.
• Solid understanding of system design and scalable architecture.
• 1+ years of experience in Java, C#, Go, or Python.

Responsibilities

• Build systems that enable autonomous buildings to operate and communicate intelligently.
• Work directly with customers to develop and own new product features end-to-end from design to deployment.
• Improve the scalability and reliability of core infrastructure.
• Propose and implement meaningful improvements to architecture and design patterns.
• Collaborate with product and design to turn AI capabilities into user-facing experiences.
• Continuously ship new features and improvements in an environment deploying 100+ times per day.
• Apply engineering best practices in testing, observability, and CI.
• Balance speed and quality while iterating quickly on production systems.
