Job summary

GEICO in Richardson, TX is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Underwriting Services team. You will design, develop, and deploy scalable underwriting platforms across multiple lines of business, leveraging AI to automate and improve decision-making.

You will work with Java/C#, SQL/NoSQL, Docker, Kubernetes and Azure in a hybrid environment, collaborating with underwriting operations to deliver robust, scalable software solutions.

Qualifications

• Programming experience with Java, C# or other object‑oriented languages.
• Experience contributing to architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling of systems.
• Strong knowledge of CS data structures and algorithms.
• Understanding of SOA and REST/gRPC APIs.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and developer tooling across the SDLC.
• Experience with DevOps concepts, Cloud Architecture and Azure DevOps.
