Job summary

Taxwell is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to take ownership of complex features across our tax filing systems. You will design and deliver frontend and backend components, troubleshoot difficult issues, and refine existing applications with a focus on quality and performance.

You will work with .NET, Vue, Angular, and C++, and leverage AI-assisted tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and Claude Code to accelerate development while upholding high standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong experience developing applications with .NET.
• Experience with Vue and/or Angular.
• Exposure to C++ is helpful but not required; may maintain existing C++ apps.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test frontend and backend features across our tax filing systems
• Debug and resolve application issues, improving performance and reliability
• Participate in design and code reviews, offering and receiving constructive feedback
• Collaborate with product, design, and QA to scope and deliver reliable features on time
• Write testable, production-quality code, leveraging AI tools when appropriate to accelerate development
• Contribute to maintainability of the overall system design and codebase
