Job summary

Breezeway, a remote-first software company, is hiring a senior software engineer to join a customer-facing product team. You’ll work across the stack with Python/Flask backend and React frontend, designing APIs and building AI-powered features that impact thousands of rental operators and guests.

You will collaborate with product and design, own features end-to-end, and contribute to a reliable, scalable SaaS platform across US-based teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of full-stack development experience.
• Significant React frontend experience owning a feature end-to-end.
• Strong Python skills, with experience building REST and GraphQL APIs using Flask or similar.
• Proficiency with SQLAlchemy or other ORMs and working with relational data models.
• Experience with Celery or similar async task queues and event-driven architectures.
• Experience working at a SaaS company.
• Experience with AI-assisted coding and integrating AI APIs.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship full-stack product features across a Python/Flask backend and React frontend.
• Design and evolve REST and GraphQL APIs, defining clean, durable interfaces.
• Work with SQLAlchemy ORM and relational data models to build reliable backend services.
• Contribute to growing LLM-powered feature sets and AI integrations.
• Communicate trade-offs and provide feedback on code and implementation decisions.
• Collaborate with design, product, and other engineers to deliver high-quality work end-to-end.
