Job summary

Raydar, a fast-growing software company in San Francisco, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to own the technical direction of core platform services. You will shape architecture, release cycles, and how AI features are brought into production, working with engineering leaders and product partners.

You will write backend code in TypeScript and Python, help shape user-facing features with React, and set high standards for reliability, security, and performance. On-site in SF.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field.
• 3–6 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience releasing AI-powered features to real users.
• At least 1 year of recent startup experience.
• Proficiency in TypeScript with Node or Python.
• Willingness to work on-site five days a week.

Responsibilities

• Drive architecture and implementation of dependable services.
• Make end-to-end technical calls on interfaces, data design, speed and security.
• Partner with engineering leadership and product teams to turn initiatives into software.
• Write backend code in TypeScript and Python, and contribute to UI with React.
• Guide rollout of AI-driven capabilities from design to live deployment.
• Establish team practices around peer review, testing, releases, and incidents.
• Use AI coding assistants daily to move faster.
