Job summary

Raydar, a fast-growing software company in San Francisco, seeks a software engineer to own the AI-driven platform end-to-end. You will align user-facing apps, APIs and backend services with research and product needs, ensuring reliable, scalable outputs.

The role requires shipping production software, strong full-stack skills, and hands-on experience with large language models. On-site, full-time, in San Francisco, CA.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python and at least one of TypeScript or C++.
• Hands-on experience building production software used by real users.
• Strong full-stack capabilities across backends, APIs and UI.
• Experience with large language models in production.
• Experience building or maintaining evaluation frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Own the full product experience for an AI-driven platform, from UI to APIs and backend services.
• Build orchestration layer connecting models to tools, retrieval and feedback loops.
• Design and maintain evaluation suites for shipped features.
• Handle data work like file and geometry data prep, linking pipelines to the app.
• Make deployment, observability, latency and cost decisions.
• Collaborate with research and product to address real user issues.
• Set internal standards for AI-assisted coding workflows.
