Job summary

System Soft Technologies seeks a Staff Software Engineer to deliver innovative software for the insurance sector. The role is entrepreneurial within a stable organization, focusing on creating products that improve efficiency, compliance, and measurable client value.

Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and testing frontend and backend services, collaborating with data scientists and actuaries, and advancing secure, scalable pipelines.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant software development experience.
• Experience with React, TypeScript, and preferably Next.js.
• Experience building backend API services with Django, REST, or similar Python web frameworks.
• Cloud development experience with Azure and/or AWS.
• Experience with Docker or containerized application development.
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Terraform.
• Understanding of Agile practices (e.g. Scrum).
• Experience with full software development lifecycle.
• Excellent technical design, problem solving, and debugging skills.
• Experience with event-driven architecture and testable code.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance software solutions that solve business challenges.
• Contribute to the architecture, design, and planning of new features and system capabilities.
• Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, actuaries, and subject-matter experts.
• Integrate data science, AI/agent outputs, and model-driven insights into production workflows.
• Build and maintain unit, integration, and automated tests.
• Manage workload with focus on priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Support and improve deployment pipelines and release processes.
• Architect and implement front-end (React/TypeScript) and back-end (Django) services.
• Develop and maintain SQL databases and data models.
• Document architectures and features for long-term maintainability.
