Job summary

Google DeepMind is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Gemini Windows Desktop App team, leading the 0-to-1 development and scaling of native Windows client integrations, bridging modern web and desktop technologies to deliver a fast, seamless AI experience to hundreds of millions of users worldwide.

In this role you will work on AI agents, 2D/3D game testing, physics simulators, and visualizing results, building agent leaderboards and testing new algorithms on robots.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages.
• 3 years testing, maintaining, or launching software products; 1 year in design/architecture.
• Experience building desktop or full-stack client apps with TS/JS or C++/Win32.

Responsibilities

• Write and test product or system development code.
• Review code and provide feedback to ensure best practices.
• Contribute to existing documentation and update content per product updates.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/resolve across hardware, network, or service quality.
• Drive platform excellence in process isolation, IPC security, crash telemetry, and delta auto-updates.
