Senior Software Engineer, AGI Automations

The AGI team is responsibly advancing Amazon’s generative AI technologies, including the company’s most expansive multimodal foundation models. AGI Autonomy is the team behind the launch of Nova Act Agent.

As a Senior Software Developer, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers in design, development, test, and deployment of innovative systems that can collect and process data within a smart and passionate multi-disciplinary team. We are looking for a candidate that will have an established a strong technical ability, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate closely with a team of Applied Scientists with expertise in specialized areas such as Natural Language Processing, and Machine Learning.

Key job responsibilities
We are looking for passionate, hard-working, and talented Software Engineers who have experience building innovative, mission critical, high volume applications that customers love. You will have an opportunity to make a large impact on the design, architecture, and implementation of agentic applications used every day, by people you know.
- Responsible for development and maintenance of core modules and services.
- Work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high quality software in time.
- Will work with scientists and software engineers to evaluate technical feasibility, investigate design approaches and prototype and develop new technology.

The team is focused on agent capabilities to delight consumer and enterprise customers with practical AI solutions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
