Job summary

Feedinkoo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead Navy-focused software programs, developing and maintaining applications while ensuring security and performance across the software lifecycle.

The role requires 10–15 years of Navy software experience, team leadership, and familiarity with ITMSS. Eligible for active DoD SECRET clearance and able to coordinate with program managers and government stakeholders to deliver timely results.

Qualifications

• 10 to 15 years of experience providing software development support to Navy programs.
• Experience leading a team in software development for Navy programs.
• Experience in ITMSS software development is preferred.

Senior Software Engineer (Advanced Software Developer) – Position Description

Security Clearance: Applicants must be eligible to hold an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET personnel security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develops, creates, maintains, and writes/codes new or modifies existing computer applications, software, or specialized utility programs.
• Modifies, enhances, and sustains new or existing computer applications, software, or utility programs following software assurance best practices throughout the software lifecycle.
• Responsible for all aspects (performance, cost, schedule) and all phases (design and development) of a Navy Combatant program technology.
• Works closely with Program Manager and government stakeholders to perform the necessary tasks and submit deliverables.
• Provides technical engineering knowledge, expertise, and recommendations.
• Leads all appropriate program briefings when required; gives work direction, resolves problems, prepares schedules, and sets deadlines to ensure timely completion of work.
• Manages a team of software developers in support of ITMSS software capabilities including the development and maintenance of key ITMSS algorithms to allow the ITMSS software to operate on the program crew tablets.
• Tests ITMSS features to ensure they meet Navy requirements.
• Supports translating Navy needs into software requirements for ITMSS.
• Supports development of inputs for the ITMSS software such as exercises and Watchstander communications.
• Develops content for training courses to be integrated into ITMSS.
• Supports development and distribution of weekly reports.

Experience Requirements

• 10 to 15 years of experience providing software development support to a Navy program.
• Experience leading a team in software development and computer-based training for Navy programs.
• Experience in Integrated Training and Maintenance Support Suite (ITMSS) software development is preferred.

Educational & Certification Requirements

• Graduate degree in a related field OR preferred certifications.
• Preferred Certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP).
