Job summary

Parsons is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Admin Services Lead to join our Federal Solutions team in Reston, Virginia. You will own the administrative services portfolio, define architecture and roadmaps, and lead development for admin experiences across deployment types.

This role requires TS/SCI clearance, a technical degree or equivalent experience, and 15+ years of software engineering with at least 4 years leading a major service.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI security clearance is required.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree.
• 15+ years of software engineering experience with at least 4 years leading a major service or functional domain.
• Strong experience designing and delivering administrative/control‑plane services for complex distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the administrative services portfolio, including control-plane services, admin interfaces, user/role management, authentication/authorization, lifecycle management, and peripheral/middleware services.
• Define and maintain architecture and delivery roadmaps for administrative capabilities across multiple deployment types and environments.
• Lead development and sustainment of administrative experiences for system administrators, operations personnel, field/support teams, regional managers, and role-specific users.
• Oversee integration and lifecycle management of peripherals and middleware including drivers, SDKs, vendor APIs, and compatibility planning.
• Serve as the technical lead for vendor engagement, certification processes, and introduction of new peripherals or middleware while ensuring reliable installation, upgrade, rollback, and support operations.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Experience with user/role management, authentication/authorization services, administrative UIs, lifecycle orchestration, or peripheral/device management platforms
• Strong ability to troubleshoot issues across administration, authentication, user access, device integration, compatibility, and platform management workflows

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Experience working in Linux-based distributed environments and modern operational tooling for control-plane services
• Experience with Java-based backend services and modern web administrative interfaces
• Experience conducting compatibility testing for versioned drivers and SDKsFamiliarity with release engineering practices for device integration components
• Experience designing secure administrative workflows or role-based access patterns

Security Clearance Requirement:

An active Top Secret SCI security clearance is required for this position.

Salary Range:

Salary Range: $148,300.00 - $266,900.00
