Job summary

Parsons seeks an IT professional with Security Operations Center (SOC) experience to join our Federal Solutions team. You will monitor SIEM systems, respond to threats, and support diverse projects across USCYBERCOM environments. The role requires a TS/SCI w/ polygraph clearance, 10+ years in cybersecurity or related fields, and DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI w/ polygraph clearance.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical/scientific discipline.
• Minimum ten (10) years of experience as a Systems Integrator, Systems Administrator, or in a Cybersecurity role; 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Experience with SIEM tools like Splunk, Elastic and/or similar products.
• Active DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 Certification or higher (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+, Network+, SSCP).

Responsibilities

• Set up and monitor Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems and products.
• Detect, investigate and respond to security threats.
• Configure and support virtual environments including AWS, VMware and Proxmox.
• Maintain various operating systems with a variety of users and activities.
• Apply cybersecurity knowledge to configure IT equipment to proper security standards.
• Install, troubleshoot, and manage applications, systems, and networks.
• Test systems and resolve security vulnerabilities.
• Participate in RMF to maintain system accreditation.
• Work with ISSOs to determine appropriate IT policies and improve system documentation.
• Interact with and assist customers from USCYBERCOM.
• Help manage computers, servers, networks, IT security systems and other critical components of USCYBERCOM's IT infrastructure.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Active TS/SCI w/ polygraph
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical/scientific discipline

• Active DOD 8570 IAT Level 2 Certification or higher (ex: Security+ CE, CySA+, Network+, SSCP, etc.)

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Master's Degree in Engineering or related field of study and 8+ years of experience
• Experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services)
• Experience with STIGs/IAVA
• A problem solver who can get in, be given a project, and use engineering skills to determine a solution
• Has, or is willing to gain, more diverse IT skills, including Windows/Linux and networking
• Able to build systems from the ground up - network architecture/systems engineering

Security Clearance Requirement:

An active Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph security clearance is required for this position.

Salary Range: $134,100.00 - $241,400.00
