Aurora is seeking a Software Engineer for the Map Build's Geometric Generation team to own the 3D spatial foundation of the Aurora Driver. You will process millions of lidar logs into offline maps, addressing speed and scaling as Aurora expands to new routes.

Responsibilities include designing geometric map-generation algorithms, improving runtime, and collaborating across teams to define data contracts and integration requirements. A strong background in C++ and 3D geometry is required.

Formación

• 6+ years of professional software development experience in C++.
• Hands-on experience with 3D geometry and point-cloud processing.
• Experience with pose-graph optimization and nonlinear least-squares methods.
• Strong grasp of linear algebra and numerical optimization.
• Experience debugging large data pipelines.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement and own geometric map-generation algorithms, incl. sensor optimization.
• Root cause issues and ship algorithmic fixes with measurable criteria.
• Improve runtime and scalability of large-scale map-build pipelines.
• Collaborate with neighboring team on data contracts and integration requirements.
