EMPLOYER: Optum Services, Inc.

JOB TITLE: Senior Software Engineer

LOCATION: 1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 (Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.)

DUTIES:

1. Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs.
2. Build next-generation products and services to enable product development teams.
3. Produce high-quality code across the full technology stack, including web development, interoperability, reporting, SaaS products, database design, cloud, and security.
4. Participate in Agile software processes and mentor other Software Engineers.
5. Deliver secure and quality products using the latest technologies.
6. Perform database management, including design, development, and writing complex queries, views, or stored procedures for data transformation tasks.
7. Develop and maintain applications using Salesforce to meet business needs.
8. Document solutions focusing on security and performance, including flowcharts, diagrams, and clear code comments.
9. Engage actively in Agile processes and contribute to product quality through testing, including unit tests and automated test cases.
10. Stay updated with industry trends and innovations to ensure maintainable code.
11. Mentor team members and lead by example in Agile practices, coding, and design standards.
12. Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Business Analysts, Quality Engineers, and DevOps.

REQUIREMENTS:

Employer requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related field, with five (5) years of progressive experience in a related role. The experience must include:

• Developing ETL processes using tools like SSIS, Talend, Alteryx, or Azure Data Factory.
• Application programming using JAVA and Python.
• Developing applications on Salesforce Cloud.
• Using reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or SSRS.
• Designing data models based on requirements.
• Delivery experience in a matrixed environment.
• Experience with Agile delivery and DevOps practices (CI/CD/CT).
• Knowledge of integration technologies, middleware, and protocols.
• Developing applications on Private or Public Cloud platforms and services.

RATE OF PAY:

$141,898 - $191,502 per year
