Job summary

Tyler Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer to design and implement new API endpoints within the Developer Portal in a cloud-focused environment. You will closely collaborate with the Architecture team to apply standard patterns and ensure scalable, secure cloud services.

The role emphasizes hands-on development with AWS, SwaggerHub, Git and Docker, plus CI/CD pipelines. You will contribute to delivering critical functionality for client needs and participate in ongoing technical training

Qualifications

• 4+ years of cloud-focused experience as a .NET software engineer or similar using AWS.
• Experience with SwaggerHub / API Hub for documentation and tools design.
• Knowledge of cloud platform patterns.
• Experience with Git and Docker.
• Understanding CI/CD processes including GitHub Actions, pipelines and deployment pipelines.
• Working knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, including DynamoDb.

• Work to add and document new API endpoints into the Developer Portal
• Work closely with the Architecture team on existing patterns and practices and then implement those patterns in the API project.
• Help executing on tasks created to ensure critical items such as security vulnerabilities, end-of-life frameworks or other tasks are completed in a timely manner.
• Help a product team deliver critical functionality to meet client needs.

Qualifications:

• Has 4+ years of cloud-focused experience as a .NET software engineer, or a similar discipline using AWS.
• Experienced working with SwaggerHub / API Hub for documentation and tools design
• Has knowledge of the cloud platform & product patterns.
• Has experience with common technologies such as Git and Docker.
• Understands CI/CD processes including technical components such as GitHub Actions, build pipelines, and deployment pipelines.
• Has working knowledge of traditional RDBMS and NoSQL database technologies, including DynamoDb.
• Is interested in working with other engineers to help scale and optimize their services.

Desired Skills:

• Strong RESTful knowledge.
• Experience with automated tests, continuous deployment, and test-driven development.
• Experience with LocalStack.
• Experience with Terraform.
