Job summary

Koniag Government Services, located in Washington, DC, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a Top-Secret security clearance to support our government customers. The ideal candidate will work in an AWS cloud environment and will be responsible for gathering requirements, developing applications, and collaborating with government and contractor teams.

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $95,000 to $115,000 along with an extraordinary benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, and paid time off.

• 4 Year Degree Information Technology or related field or Equivalent Experience.
• Java (JEE Development).
• Strong JavaScript/Ajax Application Development.
• Angular version 14 or above (5+ years experience).
• Spring Boot & Spring Data JPA.
• Tomcat / JBoss.
• PostgreSQL.
• Atlassian tools.
• Agile methodology experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• 8+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Gathering, analyzing, and developing enhancement specifications and requirements based on system owner input.
• Be involved throughout the entire project lifecycle, from development to production support.
• Design, develop, test, and manage application development projects in support of IT infrastructure.
• Integrate third-party components programmatically and introduce new custom capabilities.
• Modify existing code to enhance functionality and performance.
• Recommend process improvements and automate operations and maintenance tasks.
• Develop and implement technical efforts to design, build, and deploy applications under direction of lead architects.
• Work on large-scale data processing, computationally intensive statistical modeling, and advanced analytics.
• Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance.
• Conduct technical project milestone reviews, code architecture sessions, resource estimation, and development best practices knowledge transfer.
