About the Role:

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong skills in Rust and database internals to help build a scalable, distributed data system. You’ll focus on low-level performance, storage, networking, and data consistency in dynamic, real-world environments.

Responsibilities:

• Build and optimize distributed storage and sync layers
• Design systems for high reliability, performance, and scale
• Improve caching, indexing, and query execution
• Collaborate on state reconciliation (e.g. CRDTs)
• Contribute to monitoring, documentation, and on-call support

Requirements:

• 2+ years in database/storage internals
• Fluency in Rust (essential for IC roles)
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems and performance tuning
• Experience with storage engines
• Familiarity with consistency models, replication, and cloud infrastructure
• Strong async communication and remote teamwork skills

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with CRDTs, observability tools, or peer-to-peer networks
• Prior work on mobile/edge data platforms
