Bad Bishop Games is an independent game studio bringing a new design ethos to mobile. Our first title is Spell Valley, a free-to-play hero-driven turn-based strategy game for iOS and Android (see spellvalley.com).

Bad Bishop Games is looking for a remote contract with a full-stack Senior Software Engineer to help with the live operations and ongoing development of our flagship game Spell Valley. In particular we are looking for someone with 5+ years of game programming and experience who has shipped and operated live games, preferably mobile games, in the past.

We are looking for someone with:

• 5+ years of experience working on games as a software engineer
• Experience shipping games as a software engineer
• Experience supporting live operations for a mobile game
• Experience scaling servers to meet new player demand
• Interest in Spell Valley and PvP strategy games in general

Although not necessary, it would be nice if the candidate also has:

• Experience doing game development in Unity
• Experience shipping mobiles games specifically
• Experience working with websockets and writing networking code for games
• Experience working in AWS especially with Lambda servers
