Role:

We are seeking an entrepreneurial Senior Software Engineer to join as a key early member of our team. As our second U.S.-based engineering hire, reporting directly to the CTO, you’ll play a critical role in designing and building the core of our secure micro-escrow payments platform—transforming how SMBs send and receive payments.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and build our core technologies. Includes our global payment platform, resilient API integrations, systems for accurate and reliable transfer of funds, protections for fraud and money-laundering, and more.
• Build other critical pieces of our product. Collaborate across the company to help define and deliver a great product for our customers.
• Continuous Improvement: Propose and implement improvements in software engineering, security, and scalability
• Play a key role in customer experience through production troubleshooting and on-call support.

Required Qualifications

• Upper-intermediate to fluent speaking and writing English. Able to have a real-time conversation.
• 5+ years of full-time hands-on Total Software Development experience.
• 3+ years of full-time hands-on Typescript experience.
• 3+ years of full-time hands-on AWS experience.
• 2+ years of full-time hands-on Fintech experience.
• 2+ years of full-time hands-on Startup experience.
• Passion for early stage startups, and the opportunity to learn and grow rapidly in technology and entrepreneurship
• 3+ years of software engineering experience in distributed systems which are reliable, resilient, compliant with regulatory requirements, performant and secure
• 1+ years of experience in international / B2B payments (SWIFT, CHIPS, etc)
• Self-starter with proactive critical thinking and excellent problem-solving skills, with the capability to lead projects and mentor junior engineers
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic startup environment, prioritizing tasks and delivering results within tight deadlines

Nice to Haves

• AWS/Terraform experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent demonstrated ability.
