Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in developing and optimizing our application analytics solution, utilizing a tech stack that includes Go, GraphQL, Kubernetes, and cloud technologies. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance our platform's capabilities, improve performance, and ensure seamless integration with diverse systems.

What You’ll Do

• Design & Development: Lead the design, development, and implementation of new features and enhancements for our application analytics platform. Ensure code quality, performance, and scalability.
• Hands-on Coding: Write efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code in Go. Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle, from architecture and design to testing and deployment.
• Kubernetes & Cloud Integration: Develop and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes. Leverage cloud services to enhance the scalability and reliability of our analytics solution.
• Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks and optimize system performance. Implement best practices for high availability and disaster recovery.
• Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with product managers, data scientists, and other engineers to define requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. Lead complex projects that may involve multiple teams.
• Problem Solving: Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide innovative solutions to ensure the stability and efficiency of our platform.

What You Bring

• Experience: 7+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on backend development. Proven track record in designing and building large-scale systems.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Go or demonstrated ability to learn new languages quickly. Practical and/or conceptual understanding of Kubernetes. Hands-on experience with one of the major cloud platforms.
• Architecture & Design: Strong knowledge of system architecture and design patterns. Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Performance Tuning: Demonstrated ability to optimize code and systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Team Player: Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional distributed team. Experience mentoring and leading engineering teams.
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for tackling complex technical challenges.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced Degree: Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• Additional Technologies: Familiarity with additional technologies relevant to analytics or data processing.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications in cloud platforms or Kubernetes.

Compensation

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, and experience. Compensation includes salary, stock, and discretionary bonus.
