Pay Range

About the Role

This position is within the CTO organization, focusing on strategically forward-looking initiatives for Aristocrat’s global technology business. We explore, analyze, and integrate emerging and existing market technologies to develop future solutions across various domains, including online video games, social casino games, game development kits, mobile apps, AI, web platforms, digital displays, networking, streaming, security, and data systems.

You will work with a diverse team of professionals, collaborating effectively with remote teams, being proactive, and contributing to innovative projects. We offer the stability of a large organization combined with the dynamic culture of a start-up.

This role initially is a 2-month contract with the potential to convert to full-time employment.

Responsibilities
  • Apply a broad range of software engineering skills to solve complex issues and implement solutions.
  • Analyze situations, devise solutions with limited information, and improve existing approaches.
  • Work productively with minimal supervision, exercising judgment to select methods and techniques.
  • Engage with key stakeholders, sharing complex technical information clearly.
  • Participate in defining project approaches, developing new tools, and mentoring team members.
  • Research and evaluate software/hardware tools, vendors, and processes.
  • Gather and interpret requirements, then translate them into software code.
  • Engage in full software development lifecycle activities, including design, coding, debugging, deployment, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with management to improve development processes and ensure project delivery.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of professional software development experience, preferably with C++ for legacy systems.
  • Experience in designing architectures and communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure), graphics libraries (OpenGL, DirectX), and tools like Unity and After Effects.
  • Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, MS Servers) and software frameworks (.NET, UML).
  • Ability to learn new technologies and work with various software and hardware platforms.
  • Experience with databases, version control, and development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
  • Strong mathematical skills and understanding of data manipulation and logic.
  • Excellent communication skills, team-oriented, with experience working remotely.
Additional Details

This is a temporary contract role, with employment through our staffing partner, not directly with Aristocrat. Final employment decisions are made by the staffing agency. Terms of employment, including benefits, are governed by the staffing partner’s policies.
