Job summary

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js, and React.
• Familiarity with distributed systems concepts — queuing, caching, retries, or reliability patterns.
• Exposure to real-time systems or event-driven architectures such as WebSockets.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently with high ownership.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship complete features end‑to‑end — from clean, maintainable code to testing, rollout, and production monitoring.
• Collaborate with the founder, PMs, and designers to understand product requirements and navigate trade‑offs.
• Contribute across the full stack with a lean toward backend and distributed systems.
• Integrate third‑party APIs and build internal tooling.
• Own features end‑to‑end — from code to deployment, observability, and maintenance.
• Work in person 4 days a week from the San Francisco office.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing Series B AI startup backed by top-tier investors. The team is building the world's most powerful AI executive assistant — a proactive, iMessage-native assistant that manages inboxes, preps meetings, handles scheduling, and takes action across email, calendar, Slack, and 100+ other tools before users even have to ask.

As part of a small, high-caliber engineering team, you'll take ownership of features end-to-end from day one — scoping, building, launching, and monitoring in production. The team runs lean by design, which means you'll move fast, make real decisions, and feel the impact of your work directly in the product.
