Job summary

Medallion Bank in Utah is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to translate business requirements into scalable full-stack solutions using the .NET (C#) stack. You will lead projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure code quality through testing and reviews.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of .NET development, strong SQL skills, and experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure in a banking/fintech context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems preferred.
• 5+ years of .NET (C#) development experience.
• 5+ years of web development with ASP.NET, Web APIs (SOAP, REST).
• 3+ years of SQL Server experience and relational database design.
• 2+ years of Agile methodologies and ORM experience.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and Azure.
• Experience with .NET 5+ and cloud-based technologies desirable.
• Experience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS desirable.
• Experience in banking/fintech or microservice architecture desirable.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements to technical specifics and design full-stack software architecture.
• Develop and test software systems, lead projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Write clean, well-documented code and participate in code reviews.

First preference will be given to candidates residing in Utah who can work a hybrid schedule with 3 days minimum on site.

Secondary preference will be given to candidates located in states in which we currently operate (which includes AR, AZ, WA, MO, MT, MI, NE, MN, VA, NV, KS, PA, OR, WI, OH)

How You Will Support The Team:

The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for translating business requirements to technical specifics and developing full stack software architecture and design. Responsibilities include developing and testing various software systems, leading projects, collaborating with cross functional teams, writing and debugging code, and ensuring software quality and efficiency.

• Perform verification and validation testing.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies.

You would be a GREAT fit with these skills:

Strong knowledge of:

• Microsoft .NET (C#) Tech Stack.
• Solid SQL database knowledge. MS SQL Server and MySQL Knowledge are preferred.
• Understanding of Entity Framework.
• TypeScript knowledge is highly desired (React or Angular).
• Git working experience.
• Understanding software design concepts and task estimates.
• Familiarity with DevOps and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).
• Documentation and preparing technical proposals & conducting technical discussions.
• Effective time management and work ethics are required.

Preferred Level of Experience:

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or Information Systems preferred. A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
• 5+ years of .Net (C#) development experience.
• 5+ years of overall web development with ASP.NET, Web API's (SOAP, REST), UI Frameworks.
• 3+ years of experience with SQL Server and relational database design.
• 2+ years of experience with Agile methodologies.
• Experience working with an ORM.
• Experience working with docker, Kubernetes, and Azure.
• Experience with .NET version 5 and above.
• Experience with cloud-based technologies such as Azure is desirable.
• Experience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS is desirable.
• Experience in the banking/fintech industry is desirable.
• Experience with Microservice architecture is desirable.
• Experience with Unit Testing and Mocking frameworks is desirable.
