Responsibilities

• Performing the role Software Engineer across multiple acquisition efforts, to include: design, development, integration, test, deployment
• Demonstrate skill sets in programming languages such as C, C++, and Python
• Experience with modern commercial software development practices and tools such at: AGILE, Kanban, Git, Artifactory, Cucumber, Atlassian, Jenkins, etc.
• Familiarity with Linux OS, such as: RedHat (RHEL), CentOS, etc.
• Experience with container frameworks and orchestration, such as: Kubernetes, K8s, Docker, Singularity, OCI, etc.
• Involvment in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets
• Familiarity with digital engineering best practices, to include use of model-based system engineering approaches
• Assisting in development of RFP packages and other technical documentation for competition and acquisition of new systems
• High-level familiarity with open system design concepts and open architectures
• Demonstrate ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Self-starting, charge-the-hill mentality to deliver mission capability at the speed of need

Qualifications

• 5+ years' of experience in software engineering or a closely related field
• 2+ years’ experience in the DoD working on special access programs within the last 4 years
• Experience working with or within open architecture vendor consortiums
• Experience with modeling, simulation, and analysis software such as MATLAB, Open Mission Systems (OMS), real time operating systems (RTOS), complex digital device hardware including FPGAs and DSPs, hardware description languages, VPX, VITA, and SOSA, GPU, Cuda, OpenGL, RF Technologies and Software Defined Radios, EO/IR Technologies and knowledge of different IP protocols, interfaces and hardware subsystem
• Experience with hybrid cloud software targeted deployments

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering, electrical engineer, systems engineering, physics, or a closely related field from an accredited university.
• Master’s degree in the same fields is preferred.

Clearance Requirements

• Active Top Secret Clearance, (DESIRED).
• TS/SCI Eligibility, (Required to maintain position).
• U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
