Typeface is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Platform, to own end-to-end feature development and collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, marketing, and data science. You will shape scalable features for our web applications and cloud services that bring generative AI capabilities to customers.

The role emphasizes delivering high-quality, readable code, prototyping new solutions, and driving best practices across the stack in a hybrid Palo Alto setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• 7+ years of backend development experience.
• Demonstrated experience with AI tools or Claude Code.
• Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong experience with database systems (relational or noSQL) and pub/sub systems (Kafka/AWS SNS/Azure EventHub).
• Experience developing bulk ingestion pipelines.
• Experience building data analytics services.
• Experience working at a high-growth startup or tech company.

As a Senior Software Engineer, Platform, you will be responsible for building features end-to-end. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including product, design, marketing, and data science to design and develop features.

Location

This is a hybrid role reporting to our Palo Alto office. We collaborate in-office 3 days a week.

Salary

The range for this role is $188,000-$200,000. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset as assessed in the interview process.
