Job summary

Insight, a Fortune 500 Solutions Integrator, is seeking a Cloud Automation Engineer to join its consulting practice. The role focuses on IaC, automation, and cloud deployment across AWS, Azure, or GCP.

You will work with DevOps tools, Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation, and CI/CD pipelines while engaging with customers in a leadership capacity. If you enjoy large-scale modernization projects and advising clients on best-fit technologies, this is a great fit.

Qualifications

• Experience in automation tooling and IaC on public cloud platforms.
• Experience in DevOps and Agile environments.
• Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins preferred.
• CI/CD pipelines, automated testing experience.
• Background in .NET or other development frameworks is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS; relevant cloud certifications.

Responsibilities

• Leverage automation tools to deploy cloud solutions for enterprise clients.
• Become a full-stack HashiCorp and automation-focused Cloud Architect.
• Design and implement cloud solutions on Azure and AWS.
• Work on container platforms in a Kubernetes environment.
• Lead modernization projects and application rationalization.
• Collaborate with leadership on pre-sales engagements and proposals.

About the role

The team is looking for a motivated and passionate Cloud Automation Engineer to join a consulting practice. The ideal candidate is a practitioner of cutting-edge automation tools and provisioning in a public cloud provider – AWS, GCP, or Azure. The ideal candidate will have experience in customer-facing roles and success delivering cloud solutions with IaC automation on projects.

As aCloud Automation Engineer, you will get to:

• Leverage the latest DevOps and Cloud automation tools such asHashicorpTerraform, ARM Template, Cloud Formation,Powershell,Azure DevOps, and/or GitHub Actionstodeploy cloud solutions for enterprise clients
• Become a full-stackHashicorpand automation focused Cloud Architect
• Work on teams that design, plan and implement cloud solutions for enterprise customers in a major public cloud provider: Azure&AWS
• Work on teams that design, plan and implement container platform-based solutions in a Kubernetes platform
• Work onlarge-scale app modernization projects through application rationalization and modernization processes
• Work onclientprojects that encompass systems architecture, proof-of-conceptandtechnicaldeployment services
• Integrate emerging technologies into offerings toprovidesalesteamsadditional opportunities to approach customers withnew ideas/engagement.
• Collaborate with Practice leadership and thought leaderson pre-sales engagements, solutiondesignsandproposals
• Assistwith development ofnew offeringswithinframeworks for emerging cloud technologies
• Become a partner, subject-matterexpertand trusted advisor to clients, advising on best-fit technologies and best practices

What we’re looking for

• In-depth experience in automation, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), Configuration-as-Code (CaC)and management ofcloud hostedresources
• Experience working ina DevOpsand Agile culture
• Experience with industry DevOps andIaCtools such asHashicorpTerraform, Ansible,Jenkinsis preferred
• Experience in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, automated testingisa preferred
• Background in application development,.Net, or other development frameworksis a plus
• Background in systems engineering, networking, and server infrastructure also works
• Bachelor’s degree inInformation Technology,Computer Science, or related field preferred.
• Certifications in relevant technologies, cloud providers, or demonstration of ongoing learning
• 4+years of experience inconsulting servicesor similar roles focused onproject-based work, and/or solution development.
• 1-2years of leading teammatesor being part of large teams on projects
• Breadth of knowledge acrossGoogle AWS andAzureCloudproducts & solutions
• Prior work experience in a Consulting/Architecture position within a software and/or services company.
