Internal Notice of Filing of Application for Permanent Employment Certification

Pursuant to section 656.10 of Title 20 of the Code of Federal Regulations (20 C.F.R. 656.10), you are hereby notified that an application for permanent employment certification is being filed for the following position:

• Position: Senior Software Engineer
• Location: New York, NY

Duties include:

• Fix performance problems and debug production issues.
• Perform peer code and architecture reviews.
• Build new features, write unit tests, and lead the release of these features to production.
• Develop and AB test new ReactJS components to improve user experience.
• Help the team ship new products and features successfully with the right skills, mentorship, and organizational resources.
• Coach, mentor, and develop engineers to reach individual goals while fostering cross-functional collaboration.
• Take responsibility for the long-term success of product projects and people.
• Collaborate with the team to architect and document new systems.

Minimum qualifications:

• Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
• Two (2) years in software engineering or related occupation.
• At least 1 year of experience in building consumer-facing products, owning features from design through delivery, and working with modern programming languages including Python, JavaScript, or HTML/CSS.
• Experience with large code bases, designing scalable APIs, frontend development, ReactJS, AWS, MySQL, and Linux.

Details:

• 40 hours/week, salary: $197,000 per year.
• Telecommuting permitted.
• Must have authority to work permanently in the U.S.
