Job Description

We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our team. In this role you’ll work on a contemporary codebase to build industry re-defining software that helps offer financial security to millions of households across the US. You’ll play a visible role in helping to develop a compelling and strategic technical vision and determine how engineering will contribute to the achievement of the Company vision and goals. You’re technical, know when to ask for help, and can also offer mentorship in a collaborative environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Champion elite standard for quality code while working across our entire tech stack
  • Own product areas and work with a team of engineers who put the user first and work relentlessly to build and ship key features
  • Participate in strategic decision making regarding necessary headcount, skills, and engineering org structure to achieve current goals while preparing for successful execution in the future
  • Leverage strong analytical and problem-solving skills and work directly with our Solutions Architect & team to make architectural decisions, help design and build our internal standards and frameworks
  • Codify and evangelize best practices into the core of our company culture
  • Ensure everyone on the team has the resources and opportunities to learn and grow, formal & informal training, mentorship, achievable stretch goals, ad hoc conferences and other continuing educational opportunities
  • Collaborate with Product team to provide technical team members the opportunity to learn our business and industry inside and out. We believe business familiarity and acumen are paramount to optimizing engineering velocity
  • Regularly evaluate team structure to ensure organization evolves and moves quickly

What You Bring

  • You are a proven engineering leader with 5+ years experience of increasing responsibility within a growing engineering team at a B2B SaaS company
  • Deep experience working on teams across geographies, including overseas with an increasing level of management or coaching duties among peers and junior developers
  • Exceptional communication skills with extensive experience collaborating with non-technical stakeholders
  • Previous experience in insurance software is a huge plus
  • Preference for candidates with latest Microsoft certifications

About Our Tech Stack

Our Front End is built with React and uses GraphQL, SignalR, and REST to communicate with our .NET API. Our middle-tier talks to an Azure SQL Database, Redis key-value store, and an Orleans cluster. Our source control (Git), build, and release pipelines are hosted by Azure DevOps and we have build and release automation in place. Our infrastructure has been built in Azure exclusively using PaaS components.

The base salary range for this position is $100,000 – $120,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
