Job summary

Kinvr is seeking a Senior/Staff Backend Engineer in New York City. Join a fast-growing travel tech company and contribute to complex booking systems, content and supplier integrations, and internal infrastructure.

You will own epics end to end, collaborate with product and design, and influence architectural decisions in a hybrid NYC setting. Strong Python and API design skills are required along with AWS/Kubernetes familiarity to drive scalable systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend web development experience.
• 3+ years with Python (Django, Flask or similar).
• Strong API design and distributed systems knowledge.
• Experience with relational databases and ORMs.
• AWS and/or Kubernetes experience a plus.

Senior/Staff Backend Engineer – Travel Tech | New York City | Hybrid | $170k–$225K

We're partnering exclusively with a fast-growing, Series C-funded travel tech company based in

NYC, to find a Senior or Staff Backend Engineer to join their expanding engineering team.

The Role

You'll be working across a complex, high-impact product, booking systems, content and supplier integrations, and internal infrastructure. This isn't a siloed role; you'll own epics end to end, collaborate closely with product and design, and have a real say in architectural decisions.

What They're Looking For

• 5+ years of backend web development experience
