Antech is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain embedded software for veterinary diagnostic devices. You will contribute to on-device firmware, analytical algorithms, connectivity, GUI, DevOps, and manufacturing tools in a fast-growing team.
Requires 5+ years in software development, strong C++ OO skills, and experience with embedded Linux, Docker, GitLab CI, and cloud infra (AWS/Azure). Knowledge of IEC 62304 and cybersecurity is a plus.

Target Pay Range for this position is $ 125,000 - $ 145,000 annually. At Antech, pay decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, education, training and budget.
The Software Engineer will be a member of a team of skilled engineers designing, developing, and maintaining software for embedded systems and toolsets within the Antech In-House Diagnostics organization. Primary focus is on embedded software systems for new and existing analytical devices used in veterinary clinics. Critical functions are broad, ranging from on-device firmware, analytical algorithms, connectivity, GUI design, DevOps, manufacturing tools, and support of customer-facing software. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing, diverse technical organization designing and developing next-generation veterinary diagnostics.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or a similar field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum five (5) years professional software development experience. Demonstrated object-oriented C++ programming skill. Experience with embedded Linux development. Dev-Ops experience, including Docker, GitLab CI, and version control systems. AWS or Azure infrastructure management. Experience developing automated tests and using a mock framework.
The associate is regularly required to apply manual dexterity, including hand/wrist flexibility, for computer keyboarding. The associate frequently is required to sit for extended periods of time, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The associate is frequently required to hear and speak in order to use the telephone, make presentations and communicate with people in an office environment. The associate is occasionally required to sit and stoop, bend, kneel, or crouch. The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. The associate will primarily work in a typical office environment including the use of cubicles, computers and overhead lighting. Temperature extremes will be minimal to nonexistent. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The associate will be required to use a computer, spreadsheets, database management, email, and the Internet.
